Jeff is a phenomenal coach and professional. I cannot say enough about his style of teaching! I got so much out of his book. I couldn't imagine not reading this before starting my auditions. It is a must have.
I've read a few books on the VO industry but this is by fr the most comprehensive and instructive. Great for rookies and for seasoned pros.
Jeff Lupetin was one of my favorite professors at college with his Voice Acting For Animation class. He is such a great wealth of knowledge and experience, and this all comes forward in this extraordinary book. I can't recommend it enough, for any level of voiceover practitioners.
It recalls his own experiences, spins them for more general consumption and is encouraging and positive throughout, keeping of course firm roots in the reality of the career path that is voiceover work. It's funny, it's informative, it's in-depth in all of the things it touches on, this is absolutely one of the best books on the subject that I've ever come across and I'm honored to be able to learn from Jeff yet again from this book.
Let me tell you this book is awesome! It's filled with so much information.You gotta get one, it is a must have!
Smart and enjoyable. I was referred to this book by one of his students and I was not disappointed at all. It's very helpful and illustrates the harder trials of breaking out without being intimidating and instead very encouraging. A terrific and recommendable read.
I love this book ... and keep referring back to it as a refresher of the basics of just about everything anyone who is trying to break into VO work needs to know.
One suggestion ... I'd like to be the first to mention that Jeff record is book on audio. He's a funny guy who I've had the pleasure of working with since we're neighbors. Some of that comes across in the book, but I think it would add quite a bit to this bible to be able to listen to Jeff explain those regionalisms ... something I'm still trying to rid myself of.
